About our Minister

A Life Called. A Voice Refined. A Ministry in Motion.

Conley Gibbs, Jr.

Conley Gibbs, Jr. recognized his calling at an early age. By the age of three, he was already proclaiming God’s Word—standing before a small audience of teddy bears, delivering messages with conviction well beyond his years. What began as a child’s expression of faith would soon reveal itself as a divine assignment.

Today, while he is known to many as Minister Gibbs, he is just as affectionately regarded as a friend, a brother, and a steady voice of guidance to those he serves.

As his passion for ministry grew, so did his commitment to study, discipline, and development. At the age of twelve, under the guidance of Dr. David C. Penn, he delivered his first sermon at Robbins Church of Christ. This moment marked not only the beginning of his public ministry, but the foundation of a mentorship rooted in wisdom, structure, and spiritual leadership.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you… “

Jeremiah 1:5

A Ministry of Influence

Minister Gibbs has faithfully served congregations throughout the Midwest and has become a respected voice on a national level. His teaching has reached audiences through churches, universities, regional and national lectureships, marriage retreats, and seminars focused on strengthening individuals and families.

His ministry extends beyond borders. During a two-week Gospel Meeting in Kingston, Jamaica, many were inspired and renewed, particularly young adults seeking direction, clarity, and spiritual grounding.

A Voice in Writing

In addition to preaching, Minister Gibbs has a passion for addressing real-life issues through writing. He served as a monthly columnist for Word Up Magazine & Community Guide (2009–2012), where he explored topics surrounding family, community, and social development.

He is also the author of:

The Preacher, The People & The Problems

A Symphony: Creating the Sound of Marital Harmony

Both works have been well received for their insight, clarity, and practical application.

Service Beyond the Pulpit

Minister Gibbs has also served in various civic and advisory roles, contributing his knowledge and perspective to help strengthen the organizations and communities he has supported.
