Residents of the Midwest really appreciate spring time. Spring arrives after often harsh and brutal winters. Snow, ice, chilly winds, and frigid temperatures make Midwest winters unforgettable experiences. Spring offers a welcomed contrast to inclement weather.  The experience of the sun’s radiance kissing skin previously chilled by cold weather, life that emerges in nature, the sound of birds singing as they hover above, and the evidence of life as seen in budding plants, blossoming flowers and the smell of nature’s fragrant scent makes Spring an awesome time of the year.

 

This concept well explains the sentiment experienced by the establishment of the Gateway Church of Christ. It began in early spring (March 2017) with the same fervor and excitement that the new season offers. Many members had experienced a harsh “winter” in their personal and/or spiritual lives and this blossoming ministry provided hope and renewal. A core group of committed and dedicated members gathered at the Hilton Frontenac Hotel in prayer and began this exciting spiritual journey together for the shear glory and honor of God.

 

Members agreed that spiritual effectiveness requires Faith and Follow-through resulting in the Favor of God. In effort to experience God’s Favor, the Gateway Church Family intentionally focuses on being a Healthy and Dynamic Church that serves God.
